Rayagada,Traffic from Kalyansingpur to Rayagada town in Rayagada district disrupted for several hours today,following the road blocade by farmers.Alleging slow pace purchase at Large Area Multi- Purpose Societies(LAMPS) in Budaguda,hundred of farmers squatted on the road from 11 am today,with their paddy.They alleged that the govt has declared purchase of 3000 quintal at LAMPS,but the LAMPS at Budaguda only receives 1500 quintals.They feared that the slow pace purchase would led to exhust the stipulated date for sell.However local tehsildar Ranjan kumar manseth with others and police persuaded the irate farmers,assuring that the govt has been appealed to purchase all the paddy of farmers.He also said the farmers,who has been received their token will sell their paddy at the regulated market committee managed by LAMPS.Following the assurence,the farmers lifted their blocade and took their paddy to the mandi.
