Berhampur,Traffic on Gate bazar to New busstand affected badly,following the demonstration by the staffs of Berhampur Municipal corporation,infront of provident fund office.Under teh banner of AITUC,the staffs,reached the office demanding payment of unpaid PF of two years.Prafulla jena,AITUC leader and retied staff of BeMC said,every month the BeMC deposits premium of its staffs with the PF office.Though in turn the PF office,should deposit the PF amount on the bank account of staffs,but not did so since 2010.Following repeated demands,the PF office deposited the amounts in the account of staffs,except the amount for 2010-11 and 2011-12 year.He said,over 516 staffs of the BeMC paid Rs 2350 per month from the salary,which the BeMC deposited with PF office.But despite repeated appeals,even after several reminders sent by the BeMC authorities,the PF authorities sitting idle.Jena said,meanwhile around 50 of the staffs died and many others retired on superannuation.Now they are living in a misery,still the PF office not releases their amount.Jean,urged the administration to intervene into the matter for the arrear PF payment.He also warned to resort to agitation,if the payments not be paid soon.
