Khalikote, Excise sleuths of Berhampur has foiled a possible transportation of ganja from Khalikote area to Andhra pradesh and seized a truck with about 50 kgs of ganja,today afternoon.According to excise DSP,Srutikant rout,on a tip off that a truck bearing Andhra registration number procured ganja from Khalikote area and transporting to Andhra,a team intercepted the truck on NH-16 at khalikote bypass.During search,various household items and commodities found in the truck and in a chamber two sacks with 50 kg ganja kept.Along with the ganja and the vehicle,the driver cum owner of the truck B.Reddappa(43)of Chitoor district in Andhra has been arrested.He was produced before addl sessions cum special judge at Khalikote in the evening.
