DEVOTEES INSPIRED BY LAXMI BABA’S BODY DONATION PLEDGE, TAKE HUMANITY OATH

Paralakhemundi,(Tarini Prasad Panda): A profound message of service beyond life echoed from the sacred hills of Mahendragiri as revered seer Laxmi Baba (Dandiswami Bhaskar Tirtha) of Mahendragiri Ashram pledged to donate his body to the MKCG Medical College, Berhampur.
The saint’s decision, formally declared earlier on March 26, found powerful expression during the Samarpan Mahotsav, where it stirred not just devotion but a deep sense of social consciousness among followers.
Moved by his example, hundreds of devotees assembled at the foothills of the mythologically significant Mahendragiri took a solemn pledge before Lord Parashurama to donate their bodies after death. What began as a spiritual gathering gradually transformed into a collective commitment to humanity.
Mahendragiri, long revered as a tapobhumi, witnessed an unusual confluence of faith and forward-thinking, as the discourse shifted from ritual devotion to purposeful service. The act of body donation—often overlooked—emerged as a powerful extension of one’s spiritual journey.
