Berhampur: A 50 year old man was killed brutaly at Sama village under Purusotompur PS in Ganjam district today.The deceased has been identified as Dushmant mohapatra @ Tikina of Sikula village.At wee hours today Dushmant while was returning to home after watching Danda nacha,a group attacked him with sharp weapons at the outskrit of Sama village.Leaving behind Dushmant with deep cuts on his body and in a pool of blooed the attackers fled from the spot.However,while others returning from the danda nacha noticed him in critical condition and brought to Purusotompur hospital.However the doctors referred him to MKCG MCH,where he succumbed to his injuries.Incidently the deceased Dushmant was managing the Radhakant temple in Sikula village and as his death news spreaded tension created in the area.However Purusotompur SDPO,Deepak mishra with IIC,Rajesh kumar nayak with police force reached the village and brought the law and situation under control.Though the reason of murder not yet ascertained,but the villagers said some criminals encroched the land of Radhakant temple,who were evicted by the administration due to persuation of Dushmant.Police detained four persons for questioning.After autopsy the body was brought to Sikula village for cremation.
