Boudh:Panic gripped villages under Purunacuttack forest range in Boudh district,following the presence of a lone tusker.Today the tusker reportedly sneaked into the area from Athamalik side of Anugul district crossing the Mahanadi river.The tusker today stayed in the mango orchard on the banks of Mahanadi river and destroyed some trees.Since,the locals has raised various crops and watermelon at nearby places,they apprehend that the tusker might destroy their crops.On being informed Purunacuttack forest ranger Jayant kumar dash with his staffs reached the spot and watching the movement of the tusker which traced at Nalia nullah near the mango orchard.
