Paralakhemundi:The body of one Narendra paik(29),who was absconding after killing his wife Monika paik(25)in Gaiba village under Seranga PS limits in Gajapati district on last sunday night,has been recovered today.Sources said Narendra a native of Keredanga village has developed relation with Monika and their love marriage was held in 2019.Since the marriage Narendra used to stay in Monikas parents house.The couple has a five year old daughter.However,their relation got strained,as Narendra often alleged Monika has extra-marital affair.On sunday night,a verbal spat erupted between the couple and Narendra in a fit of rage took out a knife and repeatedly stabbed Monika,besides slit her throat.Hearing screams of Monika,her mother Sarojini with the grand daughters,who were sleeping in another room came to the spot and found Monika dead in a pool of blood.After committing the crime,Narendra fled the scene.Before committing the crime Narendra in social media has posted as video clipping mentioning extra-marital relation by Monika and also threatened not to spare the involved persons.Basing on the complaint of Sorojini,police on yesterday has sent the corpse of Monika for autopsy.While police was in search of Narendra,early hours today,some villagers noticed the body of Narendra was hanging from a tree in the casurina plantation near the village and informed police.Soon police recovered the body of Narendra and sent for autopsy said IIC,Promod kumar khandual.
