Valedictory Ceremony of 4th Utkal Krishi Mela at Centurion University

Paralakhemundi, (Tarini Prasad Panda ): The two-day 4th Utkal Krishi Mela 2026, organized by Centurion University of Technology and Management concluded valedictory ceremony. The Mela, which began on 11th February, witnessed enthusiastic participation from thousands of farmers, researchers, entrepreneurs, students, Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), NGOs, and Government departments, reaffirming the University’s commitment to grassroots agricultural development and rural transformation.Over the two days, the Mela showcased 70 stalls displaying innovative agricultural technologies, farm machinery, value-added products, fisheries and animal husbandry advancements, and climate-smart farming solutions. The event continued to serve as a vibrant platform bridging scientific research with field-level applications, aiming at improving farmer livelihoods and promoting sustainable agriculture. During the valedictory ceremony, exhibitors who actively contributed to the success of the Mela were felicitated in recognition of their innovations and outreach efforts. The ceremony was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Anita Patra, Registrar, CUTM; Prof. (Dr.) S. P. Nanda, Dean (Admin), Agriculture and Allied Schools,; Prof. (Dr.) Sagar Maitra, Dean, M.S. Swaminathan School of Agriculture; Prof. (Dr.) R. K. Swain, Dean, School of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (SoVAS); Prof. (Dr.) Girish Kumar Mohanty, Dean-Extension, SoVAS; Dr. Ritesh Kumar, Dean, Students-Afire; Dr. Sambid Swain, Associate Dean, School of Fisheries (SoF); Dr. D. T. Santosh, Associate Dean, School of Agricultural and Bio-Engineering (SoABE); and the Dr. S. N. Sandhya, Vice Principal, School of Nursing (SoN), who jointly honoured the participants. Prof. (Dr.) S. P. Nanda, Dean (Admin), Agriculture and Allied Schools, delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the dignitaries, participants, press and media, faculty members, students, and organizing team whose dedicated efforts ensured the grand success of the two-day Krishi Mela. The event concluded with renewed commitment towards empowering the farming community through innovation, skill development, and sustainable agricultural practices.
